For the enthusiastic consumer or professional (catering and hospitality) looking for an in-depth knowledge of Portuguese wines. Understand and relate wine styles to their respective regions and grape varieties. A course that also complements the knowledge of other training courses, such as the WSET courses, which do not cover this origin or cover it very superficially.
By the end, you will have mastered the essentials of the grape varieties and wine styles of the main regions of Portugal (mainland and islands). You will be able to identify the style of wine associated with each variety/region and understand the uniqueness of Portuguese wines.
Throughout the course, you will taste and analyze 21 wines.
The "Portuguese Wines Course" certificate attests to in-depth knowledge of the varieties, styles and regions of Portuguese wines, the ability to identify wines and tasting experience.

The assessment consists of 25 multiple-choice questions and a 1-win practical test.
To pass the exam, the student must obtain a minimum mark of 55%.
Although no prior knowledge is required, the Sogrape Wine Academy recommends that candidates have taken the SWA 1 Course | Beginner or Level 1 qualification in WSET Wines.

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, Sogrape Wine Academy reserves the right to cancel the course. In this case, participants will be informed and the amount paid will be fully refunded.
